Sore / Painful feet:

Posted on July 22, 2016 Written by Kew Foot Clinic

The average person takes 5000 to 8000 steps every day and we will walk around the world approximately 8 times in a life time.

The majority of the population will experience foot pain at some stage in their life.Feet globe

The foot contains 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments and 19 muscles. Any wonder the chances of experiencing foot pain is so high.

It only takes a foot to function slightly out of alignment to cause foot pain, ankle, knee, hip and lower back pain.

The symptoms of faulty foot function may also include:

  • aching feet
  • knee and leg pain
  • hip, back and neck painGlobe-with-feet
  • heel pain
  • claw toes
  • corns and callous (hard lumps of skin)
  • bunions(1st toe deformity)

A well functioning foot is an amazing shock absorber and can protect the rest of the body from excessive shock causing joint pain in the knees , hip and spine.

Our experienced Podiatrists can assess your feet and lower limb alignment to determine if we can assist you in your pain management.

The Kew Foot Clinic services the population of Melbourne and country Victoria. We see patients from predominantly Kew, Hawthorn, Balwyn , Canterbury, Camberwell,, Richmond and Ivanhoe.
